Welcome to the Rockeresque Cosmetics Corner! Every month we will choose a different topic to cover such as make-up application tips, cosmetic ingredients to look for, or how to use certain types of beauty products. Since many of you have been asking how to achieve the same effect with your new loose eye shadows, that we did on our website, we are going to give you a step-by-step tutorial on how!

STEP 1
Gather supplies. White eye primer, small container of water, makeup brushes, a towel, and 4 Rockeresque loose eye shadow colors.

For this look we used Chicklet, Peppermint Gummy Bear, Schoolyard Crush, and Platinum Blonde.

STEP 2
Start with a clean eye. Apply a thin layer of the white base onto your eyelid to under your brows.

A base helps the pigments stick to your eyelid and a white base helps brighten the colors. You can substitue white primer with a nude primer, foiling serum, or even foundation.

STEP 3
Grab a small shadow brush and dip into water.

Applying pigments with either a small amount of water or other such medium lessens fallout and make application easier.

STEP 4
Pat the excess water off onto the towel.

STEP 5
Now that your brush is damp, dip your brush into Chicklet and apply it to the inner 1/4 of your eyelid. If your brush is too dry, re-apply some water, but too much water and your pigment will not stick correctly.

STEP 6
Clean your brush in the water and using the same method as before, apply Peppermint Gummy Bear next to Chicklet leaving the outer 1/4 of your lid free of pigment.

To make the transition between the two colors smoother, drag some Peppermint
Gummy Bear into Chicklet allowing the
two to overlap slightly.

STEP 7
Again, clean your brush and apply Schoolyard Crush to the last 1/4 of your lid using the same method as Step 6 to blend Schoolyard Crush and Peppermint Gummy Bear together.

STEP 8
Lastly, apply Platinum Blonde with a highlight brush to your inner eye and under your brow

STEP 9
Then you have your final look!

Now go have fun trying this or
a variation of it on yourself!

I received this ad from a friend at work for the new MAC makeup collection: QUITE CUTE. A soft pastel spring collection of kawaii inspired colors and shades for lips, eyes & nails. Every girl’s dream has come true!
If you search online, you can barely find anything about it yet since it’ll be launched this April. I just can’t wait to get my hands on somer products and give them a try. Take a look at the artwork. So kawaii ! I lovvve it!!!

As a graphic designer, seeing work like this makes me very happy and gives me hope that maybe one day, all these mega big companies will give artists like us a chance to shine. Allthought I’m really not crazy about the font used, in my opinion it’s not very kawaii or readable for that matter, they should of used a bubbly sweet font to complement the cute characters...

I discovered this little gem in montreal and wanted to share some of their work with you. I haven't been there yet but it's just a matter of time until i try some of those Harajuku or kawaii nails. The place is called: CANDY NAIL BAR it's on St-Hubert in Montreal. Check it out. They even offer private mani parties for a group of friends at a discount price. Very tempting!!!!!! (LOVE THEIR LOGO)
